El comienzo......

Y todo comenzó por allá en el año 1997, recuerdan a Joe Darby????:

"UK-based LASMO OIL PLC acquired the rights to the local Dacion concession in early 1998 at a cost of over $450,000,000. The fields at that time had an estimated production output of 11,000 barrels per day (b/d).
According to Joe Darby, LASMO C.E.O., his company is now quite confident that it will be able to produce at a projected low cost of $4 per barrel and that there is further substantial exploration potential."

Claro que no podemos olvidar la famosa Alianza!!

"We are very encouraged by the early results or our Dacion work program and are confident that strong production growth, low costs and substantial exploration potential will deliver value, even at low oil prices. Our strategy of targeting low cost projects like Dacion was developed with the current business environment in mind. Through our alliance with Schlumberger, we are committed to maximizing the value of this foundation asset and will be seeking to use it to build and diversify our position in Venezuela in the future."
LASMO assumed operatorship of the Dacion Area on March 31, 1998 when the gross production rate was 11 Mbopd. The redevelopment plan targets increasing this rate to 120 Mbopd, with the following milestones: 16 Mbopd by the end of 1998 30 Mbopd by the middle of 1999 90 Mbopd by the middle of 2001 120 Mbopd by the end of 2002"
